Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority issues guidelines for int’l, charter flights

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority has issued new standard operation procedures for international flights and charter flights.

The new rules and regulations will be applicable from October 5 to December 31.

As per the CAA rules, there are two categories of countries across the world for coronavirus risk assessment while the PCR test will not be required for passengers coming from Category ‘A’ countries.

Category A includes 38 countries, including Australia, Canada, China, Singapore, Germany and Japan, while Category ‘B’ passengers will be required to show the coronavirus PCR test.

Passengers arriving to Pakistan will be needed to download the Pass Track mobile application.
Passengers will not be able to obtain a boarding pass without entering their personal details in the application. A print out of the details mentioned in the application has to be submitted for getting the boarding pass.

All passengers and crew must also submit a health declaration form before boarding the aircraft.

Prior to boarding passengers, the aircraft must be disinfected in accordance with the standard operating procedures.

The presence of personal protective equipment on each aircraft will be ensured while all passengers and crew will be required to wear in-flight masks and comply with other SOPs.

Cabin crew will be required to give hand sanitizers to passengers every hour.
